Topic Gap: Overview and Working.

Discover how Topic Gap works and how it can empower you to craft comprehensive content that fills gaps effectively.

In the context of SEO, a topic gap refers to areas where there is an opportunity to create content that addresses specific queries not well-covered by existing content.

But how do we identify Topic Gap in SEO?

Identifying topic gap involves analyzing search engine results pages (SERPs) to understand what types of content are currently ranking for particular keywords or topics. Once that is sorted, you then move ahead and identify areas where there is a lack of relevant or comprehensive content.

STEP 1

To access the topic gap, head over to the editor and click on ‘Topic Gap’ available on the right panel.

STEP 2

Please wait as we identify topic gaps to enhance your article’s depth and coverage. This may take a moment. Once we are done, the screen will display you the missing topics which you may include in your content. (Note: These missing topics are included in the top competitor’s content)

STEP 3

Next, you can directly ‘click to add’ to insert the topic to your editor.

STEP 4

Once you’ve chosen the missing topic to add to your content, you can find it added in the editor as displayed below. You can then utilize the ‘Write Ahead’ feature to generate content for the topic.

STEP 5

Next, for any missing topic, you can click on the ‘Source’ button to refer to the content mentioned in the source URL. To view the desired content, all you have to do is hover the eye icon.

STEP 6

You can click on the robot icon to generate a paragraph for the topic.

STEP 7

Whenever there is any change in the editor ( for example, if you add a missing topic), you’ll find the ‘Regenerate’ button on the top-right. Click on it to regenerate the missing topics.

STEP 8

If you are satisfied with all the generated missing topics, you can directly add them all to your content by clicking on ‘Insert All’.

STEP 9

You can also adjust competitors as per your preference by clicking on the Settings button.

STEP 10

Here you can select up to 3 competitor URLs for your topic. If you do not wish to keep the competitors we’ve considered, you can also deselect it from here. Once done, click on ‘Find Topic Gap’.  Then it will again process the missing topics, as per your recent selection.
