The Scalenut Editor is no longer just a writing space—it’s the GEO engine room where strategy meets execution.
Designed to help you create high-quality, structured, and AI-ready content, the editor now delivers a sharper, more intuitive writing experience backed by advanced intelligence.
At the heart of this upgrade is the unified Content Score — a powerful metric that goes beyond traditional SEO. It evaluates your content based on structure, readability, topical relevance, and how well it aligns with user intent and AI discoverability standards.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to make the most of the upgraded editor, leverage its GEO-first features, and create content that drives visibility, engagement, and results.
Getting Started with the Editor
To begin, simply log in to your Scalenut account, navigate to the 'Article Writer' section under the Action center, and create a report. This sets the foundation for your content by pulling in relevant keywords, competitor insights, and structural recommendations. From there, you're ready to start building powerful, search-ready content—smarter and faster than ever before.
For an already created report, click on ‘Editing in Progress’ or the current status of your article to open the editor. Here’s what you’ll find:
Click on any section to dive deeper, view detailed insights, and apply recommendations that will close performance gaps and maximize content effectiveness.
TOOLS
Access keyword recommendations, competition benchmarks, and SERP data to strengthen your content’s search relevance.
OPTIMIZE
The Optimize tab is designed to strengthen your on-page SEO by focusing on critical areas like key terms, content depth, keyword density, headings, meta tags, featured snippets, links, and URLs. It now also includes Prompt Coverage to ensure your content fully addresses search intent, along with schema markup suggestions to improve discoverability. Follow the smart, real-time suggestions in this tab to enhance content quality and boost your SEO performance.
In this section of the Editor, you will also find the ‘Fix It’ module for most of the parameters. All you need to do is click on ‘Fix It’ and it will redirect you to a suggestion screen.
If you agree to the suggestion, click ‘Replace,’ and the tool will change it. But if you don’t, click ‘Dismiss’ and move on to the next suggestion.
You can also see the suggestions, and make manual changes for the ones Fix It ain’t available (like, Content depth, keyword density), or for any other parameter of your choice.
BRIEF
The Brief tab in Scalenut’s editor serves as your strategic blueprint before you begin writing or optimizing your content. It offers a clear overview of important content guidelines — including ideal word count, image recommendations, and suggested heading ranges — ensuring your article is aligned with top-performing content.

Download writing guidelines for offline access or team collaboration.
Review the auto-generated outline to understand the structure of your content at a glance and make quick edits/rearrange the order of headings when needed.
With everything laid out in one place, the Brief tab streamlines your content planning process and ensures you start with a strong foundation.
GAPS/GAINS
The Gaps/Gains section in Scalenut highlights opportunities to improve your content by comparing it against top-ranking competitors.
Gaps show missing but essential topics that your competitors have covered and you haven’t. Including these fills critical content holes and aligns your article with search expectations.
Gains reveal unique ideas or underutilized angles that your content includes but competitors do not. These give you a competitive edge and help your article stand out.

RESEARCH
The Research tab provides deep insights from top-ranking(10/20/30) content based on your selection to help you improve relevance and authority. It includes:
Key Terms: See which keywords are most important, how often they're used, and how your content compares. You can highlight them in your article, filter them out by selecting/deselecting them or add new ones with the “Add Keyterms” option.
Competition: Here, you’ll find outlines of top-ranking competitor pages, complete with key metrics like word count, Content score, and SERP ranking. This helps you benchmark your content and identify what’s working in your niche.
Questions: Explore user intent with commonly asked questions related to your topic from platforms like Google, Quora, and Reddit. These insights let you address real user queries, improving relevance, engagement, and your chances of landing a featured snippet
Statistics: This section has verified data points from top-ranking articles that you can easily add to your content. Use the search bar to find relevant stats and enhance your content’s credibility and depth in just a few clicks.
Detailed Report: Get a complete view of your content’s standing. Click on the tab, and a screen will open. You can then select the parameter you want to analyze.

INTER LINKING
With so much content online, helping users navigate your site smoothly is key — and that’s where Interlinking comes in. Available exclusively for Pro and Growth Plan users, this feature allows you to add internal links between pages within your domain.
These internal links not only guide readers through related content but also improve site structure, boost GEO performance, and increase time spent on your site — making your content more discoverable and engaging.
