How to improve your Content Score?

Maximize your online presence, attract targeted traffic, and achieve long-term success with our actionable strategies for improving your Conten score.

With the digital world rapidly shifting toward AI-first content discovery, improving your Content Score is essential for achieving visibility across both search engines and AI systems.

Scalenut’s evolution into a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform empowers you to optimize content not just for rankings—but for semantic understanding, AI discoverability, and real user intent.

Let’s break down how you can improve your Content Score using Scalenut’s intelligent tools.

1. Use Cruise Mode to Build High-Quality, GEO-Ready Content

Cruise Mode is Scalenut’s AI-powered Article Writer that walks you through every phase of the content journey—perfect for GEO-aligned creation.

Here’s how it helps:

  • Research-backed outlines built for real search + AI prompts

  • Suggested titles, H1s, and content points based on topic demand

  • A guided writing experience to generate first drafts quickly and effectively

Cruise Mode ensures your content aligns with GEO principles—rich in key terms, prompt coverage, schema markup and readability for both users and AI. To improve the draft further, you can optimize it from the editor.

For example - The first draft in this case has a URL issue. In this case, the primary keyword is missing in the URL slug. Simply click on ‘Fix it’.

On the redirected screen, review the suggested permalink. Click ‘Replace’ to apply it instantly, or ‘Dismiss’ if you prefer to keep your version. Or, want to make manual edits.

For more options, you can also click on the arrow to view alternate URL recommendations tailored to your content’s focus.

You can resume editing once you’ve made your choice. The editor will automatically track the fix, and update the Content score. It’d also mark the issue as ‘all good’.

2. Use the Content Optimizer to Improve Your GEO Content Score

For previously published URLs or any draft that you’d like to GEO optimize, head to the Content Optimizer.

You can either publish the URL directly and select the competition benchmark, and target region along with the keyword. Or, simply add the keyword, target region, and competition benchmark, and directly paste the content in the GEO AI Editor.

In either case, inside the editor, navigate to the ‘Optimize’ tab on the right panel. You’ll see your Content Score, a number out of 100 that reflects your content’s performance across all critical GEO parameters.

Scalenut evaluates your content across 11 GEO-critical parameters, including: Prompt Coverage, Schema Markup, Key Terms, Meta Tags, URL, Featured Snippet, H1 Heading, Links (Outbound), H2–H6 Headings, Content Depth, and Keyword Density.

The GEO Editor of the Content Optimizer also gives you an Auto-Optimizer feature, wherein you can fix the issue with a single click. Here’s how.

Follow the guided workflow and you’d get to the Optimized article draft in no time. Once satisfied, simply click ‘Export to Editor’ and replace.

You’ll see the editor now reflects a new Content score. You can further optimize this draft using the Fix It feature, or make manual edits wherever necessary.

3. Work on the Marked Issues with Fix It (Focus on the Red & Orange Flags)

Scalenut uses color-coded indicators to help you identify which sections need work:

Green = All good | Orange = Minor improvement needed | Red = Major issue, fix immediately

Click on each section to expand and see what’s missing. You’ll find a ‘Fix It’ button—your one-click solution for instant improvement beside each, except for Content Depth and Keyword density.

Example: If Prompt Coverage shows an issue:

Click ‘Fix It’ and Review the suggested questions/prompts not covered in the redirected screen.

No guesswork. No manual rework. Just fast, intelligent GEO optimization.

Either add them directly or tweak your content accordingly.

4. Only Focus on Issues – Don’t Tweak What’s Already Good

  • Green ticks indicate areas already optimized

  • Focus your energy on the red/orange flagged sections

  • Leave the already-optimized areas untouched.

This targeted approach saves time and ensures every edit moves your Content Score higher.

Once you’ve addressed all flagged issues, refresh your Content Score at the top of the Optimize tab to reflect your updates.

Ready to make your content GEO-optimized? Switch to Scalenut’s GEO AI Editor, review your parameters, and let Scalenut do the heavy lifting.
