How to Edit or Delete Tags to Manage GEO Reports?

To ensure better accessibility and productivity, tags can be utilized to group users based on specific criteria.

If you have the option to add team members to your account, it allows multiple collaborators to work under one admin account—enhancing efficiency and content alignment. However, without proper organization, this can lead to clutter and confusion.

To streamline workflows and ensure better content targeting, tags can be used to group users or reports based on specific GEO strategies. This helps teams better manage Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) reports, which focus on optimizing content for AI-driven discovery platforms like ChatGPT and other generative engines.

Here’s how to edit or delete tags in Article Writer to keep your GEO efforts structured and effective.

STEP 1

Under any GEO Article, click on the 'Add Tag' button.

STEP 2

A dropdown menu with all created tags will appear.

STEP 3

Click on the blue 'Manage' text in the top right corner of the dropdown. Edit and delete icons will be displayed next to each tag name.

STEP 4

To edit a tag, click the pencil icon. Rename the tag as desired and click 'OK'.

STEP 5

To delete a tag, click ‘Manage’ and then the bin icon instead. Now, click ‘Confirm’ to finalize the deletion.

Note: This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

The tag will now be permanently deleted.

Alternative Method to Edit/Delete Tags

STEP 1

Click on your ‘Profile Icon’ in the top-right corner of your screen.

STEP 2

From the dropdown list, select 'My Account'. You’ll be directed to the 'Profile' section by default.

STEP 3

Switch to the 'Team' section.

STEP 4

This section displays the list of team members who currently have access to your account.

STEP 5

Hover over the three dots on the right side. This will open a pop-up window.

STEP 8

You will now see ‘Edit’ and ‘Delete’ .

  • To edit a tag, click the Pencil icon, make the necessary changes (e.g., rename "ChatGPT Strategy" to "GEO Prompting V1"), and click 'OK'.

  • To delete a tag, click the Bin icon next to the tag you want to remove. Confirm deletion by clicking 'Confirm'.

Organizing your team and content using meaningful tags is essential for successful GEO implementation. Whether you’re structuring reports by prompt type, tone, audience targeting, or platform focus, tags help maintain clarity and improve collaboration across your content creation process.
