How To Add Custom URL In Cruise Mode?

One highly effective but often neglected tool that can help you achieve these goals is the strategic use of custom source URLs. 

In this article, we will understand what a custom URL is and navigate the process of adding them to our articles.

What is a Custom Source URL?

A "custom source URL" typically refers to a user-defined or personalized web address that directs to a specific source or location on the internet.

  • Helps search engines understand the context of the article.
  • Informs of future content strategies by identifying high-performing sources.
  • Guides editorial decisions based on reader preferences and engagement.

Here’s how you can add Custom URL - 

STEP 1

Head over to the Scalenut Dashboard and select the Article Writer’. Then, add the keywords (primary and secondary), choose among the TOP 10, 20, 30 URLs and enter your target region. Once done, click ‘Start’.

STEP 2

Cruise Mode will now be visible on your screen. Add your context and choose the Article Type. Then, click on ‘More Settings’.

STEP 3

Now, move to the ‘Reference Articles’ section. Please note you can only add and select up to 3 article references here.

STEP 4

Next, select ‘+ Add Custom URL’. 

STEP 5

Enter the URL of your choice into the box.

STEP 6

Click on the arrow to add and process the custom URL.

STEP 7

In this step, after adding your custom URLs, select the other references you’d want to include in the article. Once done, simply click ‘Update’.

And Voila! You’ve successfully added Custom URLs to your article.

You can then proceed with the next steps.
