What is a Custom Source URL?

A "custom source URL" typically refers to a user-defined or personalized web address that directs to a specific source or location on the internet.

What are the Benefits of adding a Custom Source URL?

  • Use the custom source URL to give direction to your current article.
  • Helps search engines understand the context of the article.

  • Guides editorial decisions based on reader preferences and engagement.

Here’s how you can add Custom URL -

Head over to the Scalenut Dashboard and select the Article Writer’. Then, add the keywords (primary and secondary), choose among the TOP 10, 20, 30 URLs and enter your target region. Once done, click ‘Start’.

Cruise Mode will now be visible on your screen. Add your context and choose the Article Type. Then, click on ‘More Settings’.

Now, move to the ‘Reference Articles’ section. Please note you can only add and select up to 3 article references here.

Next, select ‘+ Add Custom URL’.

Enter the URL of your choice into the box.

Click on the arrow to add and process the custom URL.

In this step, after adding your custom URLs, select the other references you’d want to include in the article. Once done, simply click ‘Update’.
