Google Search Console Connect with Keyword Planner

While Google Search Console provides insights into how your website performs in search results, Scalenut's Keyword Planner assists in identifying the keywords that are popular among users.

When you integrate these tools, you can comprehensively understand the keywords you need to work with and unlock the full potential of your online presence.

So, without further ado, let's delve into the world of data-driven decision-making.

Here’s how -

STEP 1

To access the Keyword Planner feature, log in to your Scalenut account and navigate to the left navigation panel on the Scalenut Dashboard. Or, directly go to the Keyword Planner available at the right corner of your Dashboard.

STEP 2

You can directly click on the 'Plan' option.

Or, click on the ‘Keyword Planner’ from the left side of the navigation panel.

In either case, you will be redirected to the Keyword Planner screen.

Here, enter a keyword and select your target location to find related content strategies or ideas. Once you've done that, click on the 'Plan' button.

Please note: Once connected with GSC, the Keyword Planner will start showing ranking data for the domain you selected. Currently, we offer only 1 domain connectivity at a single time. You can, however, disconnect and add a different domain from - My Account > Domains > Disconnect.

STEP 3

Click the ‘Open Report’ button to view a detailed report of Keyword clusters.

Here, you can either choose to view ‘Show Ranking data’ for your domain or, can keep it to ‘none’.

STEP 4

With Scalenut's AI, you will receive numerous clusters that include specific topic keywords for your reference.

STEP 5

For each cluster, you can also view average keyword difficulty (Avg KD) and total search volume (TSV) by clicking on them. Additionally, you can also see the number of keywords ranking for the same.

Please note: For clusters that have ‘No Keywords Ranking’, it is best to start writing content on them. It means that you are not ranking for the keyword.

STEP 6

Now, click on the ‘Expand icon’ to see the reports of the clusters in detail.

STEP 7

When you click the 'Expand' icon, you can see the list of keywords within a cluster along with details such as the position, KD, relevance, CPC and search volume for each keyword. Here, you can select the keywords that you would want an SEO Article for later on.

Vs. Here’s the expanded screen if GSC was not integrated with the Keyword Planner.

In that case, you can only see details like the total search volume, average KD, KD, Paid Competition, CPC and search volume.

STEP 8

The keyword cluster generator is also compatible with other Scalenut research and content creation tools. Go to the cluster that best suits your business requirement, hover over it, and click on the ‘Create SEO Article’ button.

Quick Tip: First, start with clusters that have more keywords that are currently not ranking and create SEO articles on the same. Once done, come back to the cluster with most-ranked keywords and work on the keywords that do not rank in it. Our powerful Editor will help you generate a comprehensive SEO Report for your cluster.

STEP 9

Alternatively, you can also click on ‘Keywords’ to view search volume, relevance and CPC (cost per click) for each of the keywords.

Please note: Keywords tab contains a full list of keywords and not just the keywords from clusters.

STEP 10

You can also export the cluster and keyword list by clicking on the ‘Export’ option available on your screen.

Here are some Common features of the Keyword Planner.

  • Position

Position refers to the position of the clusters - whether the cluster is ranking or unranked. You can sort to view the clusters as per your preference. The default view is of all the clusters.

  • Sort By

To better organize your keyword clusters, utilize the 'Sort By' option to arrange them based on their relevance, search volume, cluster difficulty and keywords in cluster. Click on ‘Sort By’ option for the drop down menu to sort according to your preference.

  • Search Keyword

To search for a specific keyword, enter it into the 'Search Keyword' field to generate results tailored to your choice.

  • Export

Export these keywords into a csv file - click on the 'Export' option.

  •  Seo Articles in Progress

To access the SEO Articles in Progress feature, click on the corresponding option from the toolbar. This feature allows you to conveniently view and manage your ongoing SEO articles in one place.
